Kuwait-based breakfast spot The Kind Ones hopes to start serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch in Beverly Hills by September. Owners Fawaz Al Shammari, Faisal Alruwaili, and Thunayan Bin Yousif all hail from Kuwait and opened the original restaurant in a Kuwaiti suburb in January this year.

According to Shammari, Kuwaitis are crazy about breakfast and have a highly competitive market, yet believe their morning menu will stand out in Los Angeles. The Beverly Hills location is The Kind Ones’ third location to open in less than eight months.

In a city where breakfast options are plentiful, The Kind Ones’ owners want Angelenos to try their take on breakfast sandwiches, unfussy French toasts, pancakes, fresh juices, and coffee drinks. The Kind Ones also makes breakfast bowls with hash browns, avocado, eggs, chili flakes, and bacon. They take their brioche toast seriously too, with a secret recipe that required the baker to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

At 600 square feet, The Kind Ones Beverly Hills is pretty small. The trio took over BH Poke shop and started revamping the space. The Kind Ones will join well-established Beverly Hills breakfast spots like Walter’s Cafe, The Nosh of Beverly Hills, and The Farm of Beverly Hills. Rock House Sliders is another Kuwaiti business that opened in Hollywood last month.

When open this fall, the Kind Ones will serve Sunday to Thursday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
