Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Eater LA is on the hunt for an Instagram editor to join the team as soon as possible. The editor will work solely on the Eater LA Instagram account, which has more than 350,000 followers at the moment. This Instagram editor should have a keen understanding of what works well on the platform as well as a good understanding of the Eater brand and what sets us apart.

Applicants should have proven copy writing skills, a good social media track record, and a passion for the restaurant industry. Bonus points for high quality food photography and photo-editing skills, and experience shooting video with an iPhone. To apply, email us at with your resume with any Instagram accounts you’ve helped shape, a list of your five favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, and a short paragraph about why you’re the person for the job. If we like what we see, we’ll be in touch quickly.
