The always-busy West Third Street dining corridor just got a bit more cramped, thanks to the arrival of diminutive new bakery Winston Pies. The casual shop sells hand pies, slices, and whole pies to go, as well as coffee.

This West Third Street location of Winston Pies opened over the weekend, taking up inside one of the Juice Served Here locations that the company abruptly abandoned earlier late last year. There’s room for a small banquette and a few tables up near the front, as well as a shaded patio tucked away in the back past the open bakery case selling a rotation of seasonal pies and other goodies.

The addition of Winston Pies is just the latest bit of churn for West Third Street. The stretch between Fairfax and La Cienega is packed with restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries, with even more names like Bacari (taking over the long-running Sofi space) and Burt Bakman/h.wood Group’s Slab to come. Recently-opened restaurants along that same strip include Jaffa, the buzzy No. 10, and a second location of Inko Nito.
