Today is the first day of business for many projects within the sprawling Pacific Palisades Caruso project known as Palisades Village. That means Westside diners looking for a bite to eat have a handful of new options to choose from, including Blue Ribbon Sushi and new casual side project Hank’s, a burger and booze bar right in the heart of the development. Here’s what to expect from each.
First up is Blue Ribbon Sushi, the anchor in the Bruce and Eric Bromberg restaurant portfolio. The pair have nearly two dozen locations of Blue Ribbon in some form or another, including expanded grills, bars, fried chicken spots, and brasseries, with eight of those in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles operating as sushi counters. The idea is to craft a tight collection of menu items from chef Hongki Lee that spreads across nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with some flair built into the fresh fish preparations.
There’s also room for beer, wine, and sake inside the small corner space, which sits at well under 900 square feet, with room for more diners out on the open patio. Expect lots of wood, tall windows, and limestone floors, with hours from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. most nights, and an extension to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Then there’s Hank’s, a new idea from the Bromberg brothers that is meant to act as a catch-all for Pacific Palisades residents. The main fixture will be a menu of burgers, plus lots of sides and other mains like bowls, sandwiches, salads, and the like. Hank’s will also serve everyday favorites from wings to a roast chicken entree to shakes for dessert, with a full bar doing cocktails and lots of wine. Expect breakfast all day from inside the 72-seat space situated right next to the movie theater. Hank’s will also keep daily hours from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. or later, and the opening menu is below.
