Eater LA Is Hiring an Associate Editor

Come work with us

2016 Eater Young Guns Feted Last Night at The Rose in Venice
Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Attention, would-be Eater writers: effective this very second, we’re looking to hire a Los Angeles resident who’s mainlined into the soul of the city’s dining scene to take on the job of Eater LA Associate Editor. This is a part time job with commensurate pay; you’ll be able to work from anywhere you want so long as it keeps your ear close to the ground for good restaurant and nightlife intel, and you’re available to write on a daily basis.

You’ll be helping me, the lead city editor for Eater LA, with breaking news, copy editing, compiling guides and maps, and writing stories from short-to-medium length.

A good applicant will have lived in LA for at least a couple of years, preferably longer, with a deep knowledge of the major players and neighborhoods that shape this city’s incredible dining scene. We’re also looking for someone with at least a year of experience in journalism or covering a beat. Experience in social media and photography would be icing on the cake, so to speak.

If you think you fit the bill, fill out the application here. If we like what we see, we’ll be in touch quickly. Thanks.
