Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Four years ago, Dominique Ansel began serving a ridiculous number of pies at his NYC bakery on special events they dubbed Pie Night. For four nights in October, Ansel will launch Pie Night at his LA restaurant 189 at the Grove with 10 different pies available in unlimited slices over a 90 minute period. It’ll also serve a craft cocktail (with refills), ice cream to make every slice a potential a la mode, and some more goodies during those hour-and-a-half long sessions.

Tickets for the LA Pie Night cost $55 and will go on sale beginning at noon, September 28 (that’s today, for those keeping count). When the tickets went on sale in New York, they sold out in two minutes, so be prepared.

Each evening will have two 90 minute slots from 5:30 to 7 and then 7:30 to 9 p.m., with offerings like pineapple coconut meringue, mission fig with balsamic fig jam, chocolate horchata, and blackberry plum. Savory pies include wild mushroom and leek, Black Forest ham with fontina, chicken pot pie, and heirloom tomato and ricotta pie.

Pie Night takes place on October 17 and 18, and then again on October 24 and 25 at 189 by Dominique Ansel at The Grove. Tickets available on Resy here.
