Broad Street Oyster Company Pop-Up at We Have Noodles in Silver Lake
What: Starting tonight, Broad Street Oyster Company will take over We Have Noodles in Silver Lake for a four day seafood pop-up. This oceanic five-course meal includes Maine lobster rolls, Santa Barbara sea urchin, Geoduck ceviche, octopus salad, and Morrow Bay oysters all for $45. Tabula Rasa bar curated the wine list. Hours are September 6 and 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 11 p.m., September 8 from noon to 11 p.m., and September 9 from noon until 9 p.m.

9th Annual L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Fundraiser
What: This annual fundraiser combines childhood cancer awareness and food from star-studded chefs. The $195 ticket includes chefs preparing a signature dish, including Evan Funke, Adam Perry Lang, Nancy Silverton, Jon Shook, and Vinny Dotolo. It’s this Saturday, September 8 from 12:30 pm until 4:30 p.m., and children can attend for no charge.

Marc Vetri’s Pizza Book Party
What: Veteran Philadelphia chef Marc Vetri has a new book, “Mastering Pizza,” and he’s celebrating it’s release with a party at Jon & Vinny’s on Sunday, September 9. Not only is Jon & Vinny’s serving meatballs, chicken cutlets, mozzarella sticks, and cannoli, but signature pies from Chris Bianco from Arizona’s Pizzeria Bianco and Anthony Mangieri from New York City’s Una Pizza Napoletana are also on the menu. Wine and beer will be on hand, and guests get a copy of Vetri’s book.

Belgian Flights and bites at Bluebird Brasserie
What: LA beer brewing club Hopped LA is hosting a Belgian food and beer pairing event at Bluebird Brasserie in Sherman Oaks on Monday. It’s a beer aficionado’s paradise, with house brews, Liege waffles, a tour of Bluebird’s seven barrel brewing system, and a meet with award-winning brewer, Noah Regnery. Tickets are $20 per person, and the ticket comes with a Bluebird snifter, and Hopped LA t-shirt.
