Crisis averted

A kitchen fire has knocked out Lucky Boy Pasadena’s famous Arroyo Parkway address. A Facebook post shows a scorched hood and a couple of burned-out griddles, but ownership says the whole thing could have been much worse. They’re anticipating a reopening next week, while the company’s Walnut Street location is still doing just fine.

Urth return

In related news, Downtown’s Urth Caffe is back up and running in the Arts District today after a fire in their attached roasting facility.

Brite again

The recently-sold Brite Spot diner in Echo Park is open for dinner again, keeping hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily starting on Monday.

Burbank’s Trustworthy Brewing is turning two years young, and to celebrate the team is partying with lots of craft beer on Verdugo Avenue from noon to 10 p.m. this Saturday.
