Free Bay Cities
Heads up, Angelenos. Bay Cities is partnering with DoorDash to give away a ton of Godmother sandwiches this week. Starting today and running through Sunday, the delivery company (which has had a rough go of it in the media as of late) will send out a small version of the Santa Monica restaurant and market’s famous sandwich to anyone who spends a $1 on anything else at Bay Cities. There’s a limit of 350 a day though, so best to order fast, and be sure to use the promo code “BayDays”.
Measles surfaces again
Another measles scare has come to Los Angeles. This time the potential worry is for anyone who spent time at Erewhon on Wilshire in Santa Monica on October 7, at AR Cucina on October 5, or at the ArcLight in Culver City on October 5, says the LA Times.

We are reluctant to announce the departure of our CDC Nico De Leon, but are in full support and admire his decision to put love and family life first as him and his partner will be moving back up to San Francisco. Six years ago, Nico and I were both in SF cooking and it’s there that our initial conversations about what our food might look and taste like happened. At this point I only knew Nico for a few months and in that time I saw his potential and knew in my heart that he would be a very important piece of the LASA puzzle. Today I can say I’m most proud of the culture we’ve created together in our kitchen and at the restaurant in general. Thank you for helping create such a beautiful warm place that a lot of us call home. Thank you for believing in us, pushing us, for ALL of your time, creativity, dedication, hella effort and unconditional love for Chase and me, and the rest of the LASA Pamilya. We hope you are beyond proud of the legacy you are leaving behind! We love you fam, goodluck to you and Kaylie! . -Chef Chad . Ps. Chef Nico still has about a month with us here at LASA, come visit, show him love, bid him farewell and try our Fall menu!
