This Tucked-Away New Los Feliz Cocktail Bar Is an Absolute Vibe

Pinky’s opens today right on Vermont

There’s a hip new cocktail bar hiding in plain sight in Los Feliz. As of today, Pinky’s is up and running right across the alleyway from Atrium, serving $10 Toki highballs, shot combos, and (naturally) tacos.

Pinky’s comes to life by way of the Atrium team Beau Laughlin and Jay Milliken. The pair are also behind nearby restaurants Kettle Black, Sawyer, and takeaway marketplace Scout in Silver Lake. The bar is a former rehearsal space for the Skylight Theatre that has been overhauled with muted grassy tones, lots of lush additions, and the right amount of dim, inviting downlighting. The squat, square room measures just a scant 1,000 square feet, but packs in seats for several dozen drinkers at a clip.

Bartender and co-owner Jordan Young oversees the colorful cocktails, with options for everything from an on-tap highball to a sour cherry-infused rye and madeira option called the Drunk Commitments. Cocktails top out at $14, and most wines hover around $10. Music curator Alex Rodriguez will lead the listening portion of the bar (which has become more and more important to the LA cocktail scene over the years), and Atrium chef/partner Hunter Pritchett offers a trio of carnitas, chicken tinga, and potato tacos for those needing a light snack.

Pinky’s opens tonight, keeping hours from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The opening menu can be found here.
