A heavy police presence has descended on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood today, after a person potentially attacked at least one customer at the Chick-Fil-A there with a machete, including one police officer.

While information is still coming together, KNX 1070 radio reporter Emily Valdez says that witnesses on the scene report a man carjacking someone in the line at Chick-Fil-A using a machete. The suspect, per Valdez, then crashed into a police car on Sunset Boulevard and attacked at least one officer before being shot. The details are still coming together, with multiple news outlets sending reporters to the scene.

The LAPD Hollywood division confirmed an officer-involved altercation, and live news reports from Fox 11 showed a bloody crime scene in the middle of Sunset Boulevard, right in front of the Catalina Jazz Club. Other Twitter users offered conflicting information, including reports of multiple victims. CBS Los Angeles reports that one of the officers involved has been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have cordoned off the area from Chick-Fil-a at Sunset and Highland a few blocks to the east, and say that the area will be closed for several hours.
