Going away soon

Silver Lake’s three-year-old Italian restaurant Kettle Black is closing soon. Reps for the restaurant say that the final day of service will be December 22. Beau Laughlin, Jay Milliken, and Brett Cranston will keep the lease, and “completely re-concept the business, design, and menu” with an opening slated for February or March of next year.

Learn to drive

Apparently Elon Musk isn’t super good at navigating his new Tesla truck model, because he managed to drive over a parking stanchion at Nobu in Malibu the other night.

May the Force, etc.

A new Star Wars-themed bar called Galaxy Bar is popping up in Hollywood as of December 20.

Changes still to come

The Eastsider is asking aloud about the former Mexico City space in Los Feliz. The restaurant has been slated for a construction overhaul before it opens as a new restaurant, but little has been confirmed more than a year into the project.

West Adams walking

LA Magazine has a fun list out on the walkable parts of West Adams, and where to dine along the way including at Delicious Pizza, Alta Adams, and Open Face Food Shop.

And more Italian

LA Times is all over the Edo by Edoardo Baldi opening at the Grove today. The Italian restaurant takes over the closed Whisper Lounge and will do breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Yep, still more Italian

The Parm Boyz pop-up is back at Ronan this weekend, doing chicken parm and other classic Italian-American dishes alongside Cento chef Avner Lavi. Reservations are recommended.
