North Hollywood’s Arts District is still in expansion mode expansion mode with the addition of St. Anne’s. The new restaurant comes from the owner of Downtown’s Blacksmiths and Eat Noho, who completely converted a 31-year-old thrift store with the same name. St. Anne’s opens tonight.
St. Anne’s is nicely situated on Magnolia between Lankershim and Vineland near The Fat Dog and Polynesian dinner joint Kahuna Tiki. The menu takes direction from Southern food, Southern California, and current familiar dishes with green tomato sliders, house made pastas, a breakfast burger, gnocchi, and a smoked rib with Hot Cheetos corn on the cob with barbecue sauce.
Owner Kevin Grigorian brought along chef Edgar Ramos from Blacksmiths in Downtown, and took two years completely reworking the 3,300 square foot space, which is right next door to Grigorian’s Eat Noho. The layout keeps an open kitchen with a blasts of color throughout, a lengthy marble and brass bar, and mural by local artist, Phill Bourque.
Hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Thursdays from 5 p.m. until midnight, and Friday and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
