Bad luck

The hits just keep coming for Good Luck Bar, the closed Los Feliz institution slated to be demolished in favor of a new hotel development. Over the weekend the bar’s Instagram page posted a photo of what looks to be three people illegally dismantling the neon LUCK sign that hung outside the bar for years, and now there’s a chase on to find out just who may be behind the theft. Ownership is asking for those with any answers to contact them, or the police, and that they aren’t interested in prosecuting; they mostly just want the sign back.

All Time talk

Bon Appetit is back with more praise for Los Angeles, this time coming in the form of a love for the focaccia at All Time in Los Feliz. The big, flavorful toast is the “perfect meal for one,” says the magazine.

More Lao food

The rotating Phakhaothip Lao pop-up is coming back to Echo Park May 25 and 26, offering two days of traditional Lao food starting at $55 a head.

Ten years along

St. Felix in Hollywood is celebrating ten years by offering cheap food and drink deals, including $6 cocktails all night long at both the Hollywood and West Hollywood locations.

Good for Baldoria

Downtown option Baldoria is turning three years young, and to celebrate the restaurant is doing a big day of inexpensive drinking and dining on May 28. That means $3 margherita pizzas, $3 beers, and more.

Drive right up

There’s a new summer drive-in happening in Torrance this summer. It’s called Summer Fridays Drive-In at the Roadium, and it runs for several weeks starting June 7 (with Back to the Future). Not only will there be a movie to watch, but attendees can also expect a rotating cast of food trucks.

Dinner in West Hollywood

West Hollywood restaurant Alice opens for dinner tonight. The 1 Hotel newcomer features food from the H.Wood Group, including everything from raw bar selections to a chicken pot pie, a burger, and some steaks of course.
