Grab those wands and coffee addictions and get to the South Park neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles, quick. There’s a new coffee shop on the block called Nimbus Coffee, and it’s offering up a heavy dose of Harry Potter vibes.

Note that the new Nimbus Coffee, opened just this week by two lawyers with no previous restaurant experience, is not a sanctioned Harry Potter coffee shop of any kind. No, no, this place is just, ahem, offering a bit of intellectual property “magic” by playing at the edges of all things Harry Potter instead.

For example, there’s the stack of travel trunks hanging out on top of a deli case with the words “Fantastic Treats and Where to Find Them” stuck to the front. The shop also contains some fan-level artwork of famous faces on the walls (but reimagined as wizards), and all the way in the back is a wall filled with magic wands below a neon sign that, instead of the spell phrase wingardium leviosa from the books, simply says “levizzle.” Because, apparently, it just isn’t a coffee shop without a little neon.

The new Nimbus Coffee only opened at the beginning of this week, but has already attracted an early following thanks to its decor. The menu is mostly straightforward coffee drinks, with the addition of so-called Giggle Waters available in various flavors like Strawberry Veritas and Watermelon Wesley. The shop keeps hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, closing at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
