All-day restaurant Winsome is on the move once again, this time growing to a second full restaurant space well out west.

The Winsome team of Marc Rose and Med Abrous have agreed to drop in a standalone restaurant inside the new Playa District development at what was formerly known as the Howard Hughes Center. The $32 million EQ campus revamp now offers a slew of hip amenities like concierge services, a gym, yoga classes, and the like, and will turn to Winsome for a daily counter-service spot for breakfast and lunch, complete with pastries and Stumptown coffee. A lighter-side dinner option will kick off with a happy hour and full cocktail bar plus snacks, with most of the seating situated outdoors.

This new Winsome location comes at a busy time for the team, considering Rose and Abrous’ recent jump up to Seattle with rooftop bar Mountaineering Club and an upcoming move to Nashville as well. Locally, Winsome now also supplies the food for Stumptown’s new Downtown coffee shop in the Fashion District.

The plan is to open Winsome at Playa District sometime this fall. Meanwhile others continue to flock to the West LA/Playa Vista communities thanks to the influx of tech work there, including a recent third location of breakfast taco favorite HomeState that opened back in may.
