Chef Ludo Lefebvre Lands Summertime French Pop-Up Series in Beverly Hills

And yes, he’ll be doing Ludo Bird at the Montage too

Star chef Ludo Lefebvre is heading to Beverly Hills for the summer, launching a three month pop-up series inside the Montage Beverly Hills.

Ludo’s new project kicks off on July 10, and is to be titled the Summer of Ludo & Gilles. The latter is a reference to Gilles Epié, the busy French chef who is most famously known for being the youngest executive chef ever awarded a Michelin star at just 22. Epié and Ludo will be cooking a variety of summery dishes that harken back to the south of France during the warmer months, including lots of Provençal food and a staggering amount of rose.

While that pop-up will be offered as part of a sit-down dining experience at the Montage, reservations and all, Ludo will also be working on a weekday takeaway version of his fried chicken restaurant Ludo Bird at the same time. The grab and go sandwiches will be available from the chef’s counter inside the former Georgie space, which closed last summer under Geoffrey Zakarian after just two years.

The Summer of Ludo & Gilles starts up on July 10, with reservations for lunch and dinner only. Ludo Bird will also be available, for lunch only Monday through Friday from noon to 2 p.m. or until sellout, during the three-month stint.
