One of LA’s most innovative coffee shops, Go Get Em Tiger, is nearly ready to open its next location in Row’s massive project in Downtown LA. Starting Monday, July 1, the coffee bar and cafe will bring a much bigger food menu, one that truly works as a daytime restaurant instead of just a place for espresso, drip, and some pastries. Inside, find a pop of color, greenery, and high design from in-house designer Joseph Wedding, with a wide walk up-style bar that eschews the standard “line” at other specialty coffee bars.
Founders Charles Babinski and Kyle Glanville want this this Row location to be the next iteration of their plans to become the most iconic, or beloved, coffee shop in the city. They have a planned kids menu (it’s not live yet, but should be eventually), plus a substantial daytime offering that should appeal to Row’s growing base of office workers. Cafe Dulce, Paramount Coffee Project, and Tartine already do full coffee menus in the big Downtown project, which does take away a bit less of Go Get Em Tiger’s destination status. Still, especially for busy Smorgasburg Sundays, this latest shop is a nice addition.
Go Get Em Tiger first opened in Larchmont, following up Glanville and Babinski’s namesake shop at Grand Central Market. Go Get Em Tiger also has locations in Arts District, Highland Park, and Los Feliz.
Go Get Em Tiger. 777 Alameda Street, Suite 184, Los Angeles, CA 90021. Hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
