Antica Pizzeria expands with lunch and a traditional taverna menu
Now that LA temperatures are expected to hit 90 degrees this weekend, Antica Pizzeria’s stunning patio is ready for daytime dining in Hollywood. Owner Francesco Zimone recruited the Amalfi-born chef Antonio Giordano to build a menu that leans toward coastal Italian. The dishes go beyond seafood with a savory slow cooked short rib over pappardelle, and seared scallops over cauliflower puree. And of course, pizzaiolos will crank out Antica’s signature Neapolitan pies from the oven. Lunch runs from noon until 4 p.m. daily, with dinner starting at 5 p.m.

A year since Anthony Bourdain’s death
The world lost renowned chef Anthony Bourdain one year ago this Sunday. And in another heartbreaking milestone, tomorrow would have been Bourdain’s 63rd birthday. The beloved chef had a longtime love affair with Los Angeles, which Eater wrote about last year. It’s a fitting tribute to look at Los Angeles through Bourdain’s lens.
Tomorrow would've been Anthony Bourdain's 63rd birthday. RIP. https://t.co/ijpz9CPImF
