A pop-up version of the famed Peach Pit diner from Beverly Hills 90210 is coming to Melrose soon. The one-off party runs August 2 and 3 only, inside the former Johnny Rockets space on Melrose. Per Variety, there will be burgers, milkshakes and “nostalgic photo ops” galore, as Fox looks to restart the popular Beverly Hills 90210 once again, with the new series airing August 7. Reservations are already sold out, but walk-ins will be accepted.

The bakery inside McCall’s Meat & Fish in Los Feliz is going away. Pastry chef Karen Yoo made the sad goodbye announcement yesterday on Instagram, saying the place needed her “heavy personal involvement” still, and that after six years she was simply ready to move on. This is the final week of service.

Dear customers, Due to recent staffing changes I have made the deeply personal decision that this will be the final week for our bakery. When I started my education in the pastry arts 15 years ago I was in my mid 20s and had zero experience in the food world. I felt late to the game and because of this, I identified very seriously with the kitchen mentality to always keep pushing. I dove in head first, sought out the best restaurants and pushed hard and fast to get to where I am today. 6 years ago we opened the bakery inside McCalls, but over time it has become evident that the bakery can’t exist without my heavy personal involvement. I’m now at a point where I need to slow down physically and would like to focus my attention in other areas. This has led to our decision to close the bakery. I am eternally grateful to those of you who frequented our little bakery. I think we made some delicious things and I hope we were able to bring a smile to your faces. And to those pastry cooks and bakers who stood beside me every day, thank you for always pushing, mentoring you was truly the most rewarding part of this whole adventure. With gratitude, Pastry Chef Karen Yoo
