Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things returns to the streaming service tomorrow, but fans of the franchise can get an early peek at some of the set pieces by way of a Burbank ice cream pop-up that’s going on now.

In the upcoming season of the retro show, set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, the characters will apparently spend a fair bit of time working at a summertime ice cream shop called Scoops Ahoy. Like the town, the ice cream parlor isn’t real, but for two weeks Netflix is partnering with Baskin-Robbins to bring the thing to life, complete with sailor outfits, unique flavors, and a nautical vibe. Like any good brand partnership, Netflix wins by getting customers excited for a real, live activation ahead of the release of the third season of the show tomorrow, and Baskin-Robbins gets throngs of fans out to Burbank to try some scoops and to snap Instagrammable photos. The company is also releasing a limited-run line of Stranger Things ice creams to be distributed nationwide.

This latest food and pop culture crossover is just the tip of the iceberg. Loads of brands have jumped on the opportunity to bring fake restaurants to reality over the years, including an upcoming Good Burger restaurant in West Hollywood that will feature recipes from Eggslut/the Usual chef Alvin Cailan.
