Local real estate and development blog Urbanize LA is all over the news of a proposed new food hall at the Westfield Topanga mall in the Valley. The Warner Center property will convert a long-empty former Sears space (coming in at over 160,000 square feet) into a food hall-like area with not only stalls but also sit-down restaurants and multiple bars and lounge areas. In total, the project — which also includes some updated pedestrian access and structural changes — will run a whopping $250 million, and should open in 2021.
