Orange County became the latest and one of the largest counties in Southern California to reopen restaurants for dine-in services — whether or not hospitality workers and diners are ready. Though most restaurants will likely continue with takeout and delivery, many establishments that have met public health requirements are welcoming patrons back into their dining rooms throughout the county.

Eater LA is tracking Orange County restaurants that have reopened for dine-in service. Please contact restaurants directly to confirm hours of operations. As many restaurants have opened at this point across the county, almost too many to list here, it’s best to check your local favorites to see if their dining rooms are up and running again.


Mastro’s and its family of restaurants (Bubba Gump Shrimp, McCormick & Schmick’s, etc.) has reopened multiple locations across greater Orange County.

Solita Tacos is open and serving margaritas and tacos in Huntington Beach.

Brodard Chateau is offering sit-down Vietnamese fare in busy Garden Grove.

Selanne Steak Tavern, the white tablecloth restaurant in Laguna Beach, has reopened for traditional sit-down service.

Zinque is doing pan-Mediterranean fare at the waterside Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach.

Park Ave. Dining is open once again in Stanton for American comfort food with lots of seats on the patio.

Il Garage does Italian al fresco dining in the west Orange County city of Stanton.

Arc Food Libations in Costa Mesa reopens May 27 with the usual wood-fired fare available for dine-in service.

Social Costa Mesa reopens May 27 while continuing to offer to-go cocktails and curbside pickup.

Old Brea Chophouse has reopened for steak and old-school vibes in Brea.

Wood Ranch has reopened its multiple barbecue-focused restaurant locations across Orange County.

Nomads Canteen, one of the first Orange County restaurants to defy closure orders, has formally reopened for service in San Clemente.

BLK Burgrz is a Ladera Ranch restaurant that features a contemporary American menu with American Wagyu and Kobe beef burgers and more. Offering dine-in and outdoor patio seating.

King’s Fish House opens its Orange County locations once again for service on Thursday, May 28.

Cappy’s Cafe is open again in Newport Beach. The nearly 40-year-old diner will offer breakfast as well as cocktails in the open parking lot.

The Ranch Sports Grill is offering American style food and great drink selection in Ladera Ranch. Offering dine-in services and outdoor patio seating.

Harvest restaurant at the Ranch Laguna Beach is once again open for service, along with the cafe also located on the beachside property.

Goldenwest has reopened all of its diner locations across Orange County, turning out reliable breakfast and lunch plates in places like Westminster and Anaheim.

Sapphire in Laguna Beach has reopened. The legendary restaurant underwent a recent ownership change but is now back up and running doing wine country cuisine from across California.

Haus of Pizza in Costa Mesa is once again open for dine-in service. The family-friendly restaurant offers a variety of Italian dishes and craft beers.

Olamendi’s, the Dana Point Mexican food staple, has reopened right across from the water with a full slate of family Mexican fare and a full bar.

Nick’s, the upscale casual American chain with locations across Southern California, has reopened its dining room doors in Laguna Beach and San Clemente.

Woody’s Diner, the decades-old restaurant micro-chain with locations in Huntington Beach and Orange, has reopened for in-restaurant dining.

Blackboard Bistro, the charming former schoolhouse known for its all-day American fare, has reopened in Seal Beach.

Friends Cafe in Tustin is open once again. The pared-down casual cafe keeps daily hours starting at 7:30 a.m.

320 Main is open once again in Seal Beach. The steak and cocktail spot from chef/owner Jimmy Mercurio is keeping evening hours, Wednesday through Sunday, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Kabob Republic is open again in Costa Mesa, offering a variety of Mediterranean dishes including doner kabob.

Seafood Paradise in Westminster is open for in-restaurant dining once again, doing a variety of dim sum specialities.

Rothchild’s is a Corona del Mar classic. The Newport Beach staple has been doing Continental cuisine near the coast for more than 30 years.

Muldoon’s Irish Pub returns to drinking and dining in Newport Beach this week, having been the place for a party since 1974.

Sol Cocina in Newport Beach and Solita in Huntington Beach are now open, doing casual Mexican fare alongside cold beer.

Urban Plates has reopened multiple fast casual locations across Orange County, from Irvine to Brea and beyond.

Lumberyard Laguna Beach and across-the-street sister restaurant Slice have both reopened in Laguna Beach, offering casual American fare and pizza with beer, respectively.
