Westside burger fans can rejoice this weekend as the Window at American Beauty (stylized by them as Win~Dow) expands into a second permanent home. The takeaway-only option on Rose Avenue has become the talk of the town, turning out impossibly inexpensive burgers and fried chicken sandwiches by the hundreds. Now, they’re moving even further west.

The new Window will open on Tuesday, September 29 right on the Venice Boardwalk. The address, 1827 Ocean Front Walk, is directly across from famous Muscle Beach, and just steps from the sand. Not only will the new addition offer walk-up service for anyone hitting the beach, the Window will also service the local area via UberEats, Postmates, and Doordash.

Much like the original Window, which started in 2019 as a daytime takeaway option for parent company American Gonzo Food Corp.’s steakhouse called American Beauty, this second coming will focus on cheeseburgers, fries, and fried chicken sandwiches. There are also plant-based alternatives available as well as salads and a grain bowl, and this location specifically will offer ice cream options like dipped cones and milkshakes. The new ice cream menu is below.

Chefs Anthony Goodwin and Elisha Ben-Haim will jointly run the stand starting next week, as American Gonzo continues to look for other, more easterly locations for the Window down the line. Expect a 40-seat patio, delivery and takeout service, and daily hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
