Eater has learned that the Texas-based restaurant group behind Uchi LA in West Hollywood is opening a second restaurant in Los Angeles late next year. Oheya, which means home in Japanese, is named after the little red house in Austin where chef Tyson Cole opened the first Uchi in 2003.

Oheya’s first location debuted in Houston, Texas this past March. The second LA outlet will be adjacent to Uchi LA on Santa Monica Boulevard. The 14-seat restaurant will serve an ever-changing omakase menu (priced at $175 in Houston) created in collaboration with a chef from one of Uchi’s eight locations and Uchi LA’s culinary team.
