Superstar Taylor Swift dined with girlfriends Brittany Mahomes and Lindsay Bell at Spago in Beverly Hills on Saturday, January 6 the night before appearing at the Golden Globes, where her documentary Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award but lost to Barbie. The trio was seated away from Spago’s main dining room in a dimly lit section that peers into the restaurant’s newly renovated and reconceptualized bar headed by beverage director Adam Fournier.

A report from People indicated that Swift and her pals ate wagyu steak and french fries from chef Ari Rosenson, while TMZ observed that Swift was “a bit preoccupied on her phone” throughout the evening. Eater confirms that Swift was chatting on her phone when Mahomes and Bell briefly went to the bathroom before the group departed from the restaurant shortly after 11 p.m.

Dining at the iconic 42-year-old establishment from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is on brand for Swift, who tends to frequent similarly well-known restaurants that serve dependable fare in New York City. Swift previously dined at Spago in March 2016 and owns a home in the neighborhood.

Spicy Sichuan doughnuts

Holey Grail Donuts is teaming up with Sua Suprette co-founder Jing Gao on a pineapple passion fruit Sichuan chili crisp doughnut available from now through January 31 at Larchmont and Santa Monica stores. As part of the collaboration, 20 percent of sales will be donated to raise proceeds for the Hollywood Food Coalition.
