LA Creamery, the small batch ice cream concept which very quickly accelerated from zero to three shops, has shuttered its third and final location in The Americana at Brand as of Monday. "Chief Guestologist" Brad Saltzman says that the poor locations and lack of foot traffic at Westfield Topanga and also Westfield Fashion Square caused the collapse of the entire retail division. At the end of the day, LA Creamery tried to make The Americana location work, and according to Stephen A. Bikoff, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, "Rick Caruso is the very best landlord one could ask for. He and his executives tried everything in their power to help us keep the doors open but in the end it was not possible."
