The recently modernized Best Western Plus Hollywood Hills Hotel located on Franklin is looking to add a new full bar to its lobby. The project has caused concern in the nabe because many residents feel a bar at this location would be problematic due to increased traffic, parking issues, noise concerns, etc., since the hotel abuts a residential zone. Last week Warner Ebbink, owner of 101 Coffeeshop on Franklin Avenue, invited neighbors to meet and discuss the new bar which seems to still be a work in progress. Additional intel welcome in the comments. [EaterWire]
