1. Trattoria Neapolis
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian Christmas celebration that typically consists of seven (or more) kinds of seafood (or seafood dishes). This Pasadena Italian restaurant will be putting together a traditional Feast of Seven Fishes dinner, starting with Baccala Montecato, Branzino, Tuscan Seafood Stew, with a sweet finish of house made gelato, all for $55 per person. 2. Mr. C Beverly Hills
On top of the regular menu, Mr. C will have a four-course Christmas Eve dinner that includes Baked Duckling Crespella, Radicchio Ravioli, Lamb Osso Buco or Pan Roasted Monkfish, and Zabaglione Mousse to finish. $62 per person.
3. The Churchill
Christmas Day dinner available from 5-9 p.m., three courses for $35, including carrot-ginger soup, leg of lamb, glazed ham, and fuyu persimmon cake.
4. Bar Pintxo
Christmas Eve specials include Lobster Paella, Suckling Pig, Turron, Polvorones, Dried Fruits, and Holiday Cocktails such as the Cava Cocktail and Carajillo made with Espresso, Brandy, and Orange.
5. Drago Centro
Christmas Eve will host the Feast of Seven Fishes, with seven courses for $70, with optional wine pairings for an additional $45.
6. FIG Santa Monica
Chef Ray Garcia is preparing a special Mexican inspired meal served family style for $69 a person including quesillo and poblano tamales, stuffed quail and porchetta, fruit cake trifles and more.
Shojin is doing a special 4-course vegetarian Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner available from 4-10 p.m. on Eve and 12-10 p.m. on the 25th. Reservations are required.
8. Raymond Restaurant
There's a four-course Christmas Eve dinner available at this historic restaurant in Pasadena, including wild arugula salad, potato and parmesan soup with black truffle, roasted duck, prime sirloin, and day boat scallops. $89 per person, with reservations required.
9. Inn of the Seventh Ray
Christmas Eve dinner will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at this Topanga Canyon restaurant. The feast features free range goose, chorizo and cornbread stuffing, farmers market haricot verts, maple yams, and huckleberry goose reduction.
A special Christmas Eve dinner can be anywhere from 3-7 courses, with pricing starting at $55. Dishes include Celery Root Salad with Pomegranate, Grana Padana, Toasted Pepitas and Chicory Salad; Seared Day Boat Scallops with Parsnip and Parsley Coulis, Tasting of Veal with Brussels Sprouts, Tokyo Turnip, Pearl Onion, Buche de Noel au Citron with Mandarin Confit.
11. Calle Tacos
For something a little more approachable on the budget side, Calle Tacos has seasonal menu items including Chicken Chipotle Tortilla Soup, Holiday Tamales such as Red Chile Pork (available by the dozen as well), Ponche (spiked or virgin punch), and Elote - corn on the cob.
12. Ray's & Stark Bar
This LACMA restaurant features three courses for their Christmas Eve dinner priced at $55, including Sunchoke Soup with Truffle Cream and Black Trumpet Mushrooms; Cotechino Sausage with Braised Greens and Lentils; Almond Spice Cake with Eggnog Ice Cream and Meyers Rum.
13. Petrossian Paris
This high-end caviar restaurant on Robertson is having a Christmas Eve dinner featuring Chestnut Ravioli, Pork Loin Roulade, Maine Lobster, and Buche de Noel, available from 5-10 p.m. Of course, a Caviar flight starts each meal. $150 per person.
14. Napa Valley Grille
Christmas Eve has special holiday menu items in addition to the regular menu, such as Chestnut Bisque, Duck Confit Leg, Lobster Risotto, Pistachio Crusted Leg of Lamb, and Persimmon Steam Cake. Hours on Christmas Eve are 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
15. Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood
Christmas Eve and Day feature three-course, $95 Dinners at Gordon Ramsay at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. Highlights include Scallop and Quail Egg on Black Truffle Risotto, Tuna Carpaccio, and Butter Poached Lobster, in addition to many other available menu items. Three courses for $70 and four courses for $90 at this classy Downtown restaurant in the Financial District. 17. Nick & Stef's Steakhouse
Three courses for $65 at this Downtown steakhouse on Bunker Hill, with Chestnut Soup with Bacon Brittle and Cinnamon Crème; Pan Roasted Sea Bass with Roasted Baby Beets, Sautéed Swiss Chard and Black Olive Oil; Eggnog Parfait with Panettone Crumble, Carrot Caviar and Cinnamon Vanilla Foam
18. Mohawk Bend
Mohawk Bend is doing the whole Jewish tradition of eating Chinese on Christmas, with a vegan/Chinese three course dinner that's available all night for $16. Highlights include hot and sour soup, egg rolls; char siu tofu, garlic long beans, brown rice, toasted peanuts; almond cookies. Woody Allen's Sleepers will be playing as well, to round it out.
There's a four course prix fixe at Oliverio for $65, which includes a glass of prosecco and coffee or tea. Highlights include Artichoke Souffle with Chanterelle Mushrooms, Orechiette con Vongole (clams), and Lamb Chops or Branzino for main course. Desserts finish off with Chocolate Bread Pudding or Pumpkin Pie.
20. Whist @ Viceroy Santa Monica
Whist is offering a $35 cheeky Chinese takeout menu, which includes Hot & Sour Soup, Vegetable Won Ton, Foie Gras Dumplings. Also Dim Sum options: Spring Rolls, Dungeness Crab Pot Stickers, Shrimp Toast, Squab in Lettuce. For mains, there's Wok Fried Whole Fish, Peking Duck, Lobster & Sausage Fried Rice. Available Christmas Eve for $35 per person. There's also a Christmas Day dinner for $65 per person.
