The L.A. beer scene has grown by leaps, hops, and bounds over the past few years, with multiple craft breweries coming on line and proliferating their brews all over the city's great network of beer bars and restaurants. L.A. Beer Week is a celebration of not only local craft breweries, but also ones in the immediate region that have a made the scene what it is today. Stone Brewing at Verdugo Bar
September 19: Starting at 7 p.m., entry is $5 and includes a commemorative Stone Brewing glass. There will be a ridiculous number of Stone beers to taste by the glass, so if you're a fan of this large craft brewery from Escondido, this is the event to check out.

Eagle Rock Brewery at Spitz
September 20: Local favorite Eagle Rock Brewery is taking over the four taps at this Little Tokyo doner kebab specialist. They'll also be a participant in the Little Tokyo Craft Beer Crawl, which goes from Lazy Ox, Xlixe, Far Bar, The Escondite, Americano, One Eyed Gypsy and Angel City Brewery all evening, starting at 7 p.m.

Oinktoberfiesta! at The Oinkster
September 21: The patio will be transformed into a beer garden featuring Oompah music, spicy polish dogs, pitcher specials, and unique draft beer list for the day. From 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

TAPS Brewing at Beer Belly
September 21: From 12-4 p.m., take in the extensive TAPS Brewing beer list from the popular Cream Ale to the seasonal pumpkin ale at this Koreatown beer den. They're serving up beer battered shrimp tacos too.

Golden Road at Wildcraft Sourdough Pizza
September 21: 6-11 p.m. Golden Road is taking over the taps at this Culver City pizza restaurant, serving everything from the Berliner Weisse to Wolf Among Weeds. Basically expect everything the local brewery has to offer with some fantastic wood-fired pizzas.

Alesmith Brewing at The Surly Goat
September 21: 7 pm. - 2 a.m. Popular San Diego brewer Alesmith is serving a bunch of their brews, including the Anvil ESB, Cask of XPA, award-winning Speedway Stout, and their legendary IPA, which might be one of the best ever.

Opening Gala at Union Station
September 22: The main event for L.A. Beer Week, this beer extravanga takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with 50 breweries and unlimited 4 oz samples for a mere 600 participants, which should make a pleasant experience for a true beer geek.

Brouwerij West at Bow & Truss
September 23: 6 - 11 p.m., Belgian-style brewery Brouwerij West is taking over all 10 of Bow & Truss's taps in North Hollywood. Chef Stefhanie Myers is preparing dishes to pair with the Belgian-style brews.

The Bruery at The Glendale Tap
September 23: 6 p.m. - 12 a.m. Cult brewery The Bruery will be serving six rare brews at this popular Glendale craft beer bar, including the Bottleworks XII, Praecocia, and Loakal Red. There's also bottle pours as well as bottles available to go.

September 24: 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m., there's a five course paired dinner featuring this large Chicago-based craft brewery for $45 per person featuring the classic line of beers, or $55 for the special vintage line.

September 24: 5-9 p.m. Catch rare flights of this San Diego-based brewery, served alongside sustainable seafood hors d'ouevres. There's also $5 cans and specialty drafts for the night.

Smog City at Cinco
September 25: 3 p.m. - 12 a.m. Torrance-based Smog City is taking over this Westchester Mexican restaurant with some unique creations like High 5, Amarilla Gorilla, Saber Toothed Squirrel, Coffee Porter and more. There's also shrimp tacos with beer batter made from Lil Bo Pils.

The Bruery & New Belgium at The Doughroom
September 25: 5 - 11 p.m. Sour beer fans will have to congregate at this newish Palms restaurant featuring some of the best sour beers from The Bruery and New Belgium. The tap list includes Bruery Windowsill and New Belgium's Tart Lychee, among many others. Beers will be carefully paired with chef Eddie Hah's seasonal eats.

22 Breweries at City Tavern
September 26: 6 p.m. - 12 a.m. For those that want a little bit of everything, there will be 22 different breweries represented on this raucous evening at City Tavern. Most of the brewers themselves will be hanging out so this will be a chance to have a toast with some of the best minds in craft beer.

Class of '88 Tasting at Stuffed Sandwich
September 28: 2:30 p.m. - 2 a.m. 25 years ago, three great breweries opened, North Coast, Deschutes, and Rogue, all of whom started in 1988. To celebrate, the three breweries made a special barleywine that will be served. In addition, there's a sampler beers from each brewery at this beer maven's hangout in San Gabriel Valley.

Game of Thrones Stout at Blue Palms Brewhouse
September 29: 1-5 p.m., Ommegang Brewery, which made the first Gang of Thrones Beer, is releasing the "Take the Black" Stout at this Hollywood beer bar and also on the rooftop bar of the Henry Fonda Theater.
