Paying slightly less for dining out is always welcome in Los Angeles. Lucky for us, dineLA comes around twice a year with a reduced prix fixe menu, where locals can take advantage of deals that can knock off a significant amount from the final bill. The selections aren’t just a repeat from last year. The menus rotate as do the participating restaurants, with longtime staples like Lawry’s offering dinner for $59, a $39 meal at Los Balcones in Studio City, or a serious deal at Bon Temps in the Arts District. With that, Eater compiled 12 fantastic dineLA dinners, which run from January 17 until the 31.

For $39, Culver City’s craft beer izakaya joint will immediately build a beer, shochu, or sake flight. Pair it with your choice of gyoza, karaage fried chicken, miso-glazed pork belly on skewers, and Impossible meat fried rice during dineLA week. The dining area is downright pleasant, and a great spot to finish the meal with mochi brownies.

dineLA’s sole plant-based options are a bit scarce, but includes Matthew Kenney’s vegan spot in Venice. His menu typically boasts a high price tag because of the high-level of prep required for dishes like the spaghetti squash with young papaya and spicy cashew dressing, the handmade gnocchi, or the coconut cream pie.
