There’s no denying the allure of the nacho, each chip perfectly fried and laced with just the right amount of each balanced ingredient. Or maybe the perfect nacho plate is the one piled high with little more than meat, gooey nacho cheese, and a to-the-side splash of sour cream. No matter what one’s favorite style might be, Los Angeles has a restaurant to fill that need.

Usually the best nachos are reserved for pure Mexican restaurants and late nights, like at Carnitas Michoacan in Lincoln Heights. But don’t forget about the rest of Los Angeles and places like Holy Cow BBQ, where brisket nachos make their own strong and delicious case. In Los Angeles, there truly are nachos for all.
