Saddle Peak Lodge

A hidden gem in every sense, Saddle Peak Lodge barrel-ages a strong plymouth gin-based negroni that goes great with the woodsy feel of this historic restaurant.

The Tasting Kitchen

This Venice bar tended by Justin Pike makes some of the best barrel-aged cocktails in town, and the Negroni is the one to get. Using plymouth gin and Carpano Antica, the flavor is intense for such a simple drink.

Freddy Smalls

West LA’s longtime drink spot, Freddy Smalls continues to impress with their own lilet blanc white negroni.

The Bellwether

Studio City newcomer The Bellwether is already making friends, thanks to a strong craft beer program and their white negroni that pairs surprisingly well with Ted Hopson's cooking.

Skewing slightly more high-end, Culina draws in the Beverly Hills crowds and jetsetting business types alike — though there’s always room for a local at the bar. Order up the Negroni and just enjoy some of the best people-watching in L.A.

This downstairs haunt is a favorite within the bar and restaurant industry, many of whom come for sturdy examples of their favorite basic drinks. For a slightly different take, try the seasonal Dream within a Dream, which mixes Martin Miller's gin, meleeti amaro, grapefruit bitters, dolin dry, and grapefruit essence.

Pistola

This vaunted West Third Street steakhouse has been building its up bar clientele of late, serving classy options from the other side of their massive bar. The Negroni here will deliver the perfect pre-steak buzz.

Melrose Umbrella Co

From top to bottom one of the best cocktail bars in town, Melrose Umbrella Co. certainly has a way with the standards, like their perfectly realized negroni.

Harlowe

West Hollywood casual cocktail space Harlowe knows negronis, whether they’re whipping up odd ones for the annual negroni week, or crafting the classic from behind the bar.

the copper still

Koreatown’s strongest cocktail effort is the Copper Still, where pupusas from next door play against quality drinks from behind the bar. Nancy Kwon likes to use extra aromatic liqueurs to spruce up Negroni variants.

This Arts District beast of a restaurant offers a signature white negroni, which comes with just a splash of grapefruit for added punch. You'll be craving salumi and pasta afterwards.
