10 New Years Eve Spots in LA That Are Worth the Headache
Say farewell to 2015 at these tasty restaurants and bars.
For those who want to ball out there’s Brentwood’s Baltaire. The ritzy steakhouse will throw a Roaring 20’s party with two seatings that feature a five-course prix-fixe that include dishes like 22 oz. bone in ribeye and lobster mac and cheese. The first seating is $175 per person from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and second seating is $250 per person from 9-9:45 p.m., which includes a welcome glass of Champagne, party favors, and the table for the remainder of the night. Expect a live band, DJ, and martini and caviar carts.
2. Golden Road Brewing
For a more casual and affordable New Year’s celebration, Golden Road Brewing will offer a $50 four-course that comes with a pour of their brandy-aged Gingerbread Stout. Revelers will enjoy live music and a complimentary toast at midnight.
3. Gracias Madre
For vegan NYE celebrations, there’s Gracias Madre. The West Hollywood hot spot will serve a $65 four-course mushroom tasting menu that includes mushroom cocktail pairing made with Amantillado sherry infused with shiitake and truffle bitters from the talented Jason Eisner.
Eater LA’s own chef of the year Nyesha Arrington will offer an intimate 60-person event at her Venice restaurant LEONA. The evening will include a six-course tasting menu with wine parings, champagne celebrations, and party favors for $250.

5. Love & Salt
Those in the South Bay can indulge in decadent NYE specials at Love & Salt, including sea urchin toast, lobster pizza, and Wagyu cheeseburger with foie gras. What’s more? Chef Fiorelli will offer a late night special from 10 p.m. to midnight that offers his sought-after "Downlow" burger or pizza with a glass of beer or wine for $20.
6. Nick & Stef's Steakhouse
Freshly remodeled Nick + Stef’s will put on a grand NYE menu that includes dishes like lobster bisque with cognac, butter poached lobster tail and filet mignon, and Champagne mousseline. The 3-course menu is offered for $85.
7. Pour Vous
For a très chic way to imbibe on NYE Parisian-themed lounge Pour Vous will host an $80 event with burlesque shows and a DJ. Where else can you sip French cocktails in a vintage train car?
8. Rose Cafe & Market
Venice’s 36-year-old institution is celebrating its glorious revitalization with a NYE event with a DJ, plenty of hors d'oeuvres, raw bar, pizza stations, and champagne toast. The $75 admission comes with two drink tickets.
Chef Kris Morningstar’s Terrine will offer two seatings with two separate menus, the first, a $75 four-course from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and the second, a $115 six-course from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Think options like Wagyu short ribs and roasted foie gras with pink lady apples, topped off with a champagne toast.

Manhattan Beach locals scored a huge win when David LeFevre’s newest restaurant The Arthur J opened up right next to the pier.
