There's no doubt 2016 has been quite a year. Luckily Los Angeles has plenty of outstanding options to celebrate the year that was and usher in new beginnings with a wide range of festivities at some of the city's best restaurants and lounges.

Some restaurants like Alma at The Standard are keeping it low key for those who want to sip natural wine flights and order a la carte. Others, however, are going out with a bang with some pretty outrageous extravaganzas. Palos Verdes' Terranea resort is throwing quite the fete complete with a fine dining experience followed by a DJ and bottle service bash. But what is perhaps the best party theme goes to the Art District's Westbound, which will host a "Let It Go 2016" soiree with a Frozen-themed bounce house.
