4. The Apple Pan
Los Angeles, CA 90064
Apple Pan's signature pie is a 1950s-style, shortening crusted specimen filled with saucy apples. And while butter is better, Apple Pan's pie is served piping hot, with cool vanilla ice cream on the side. The banana cream pie is worthy of all of its accolades, while everything from the cherry, strawberry, and other seasonal pies are certain to be worth the detour. Come early as the good ones sell out almost daily.
