Updating the Best of LA Pastry Map, Fall 2012

View as Map

While there still isn't a bakery on every corner in Los Angeles, the pastry scene continues to expand and evolve. Pastry chefs move around, open their own places or disappear into restaurant kitchens. Sadly, sometimes places that were once great begin to fall short or lower their standards. For this reason, and because autumn is a great time of year to stock up on flaky baked goods, it's time to update the Eater Pastry Map. In order to qualify, shops must give special attention to a wide variety of pastries and excel at a dozen different types. Pastries are tasted for freshness, quality of ingredients and seasonality.
